Telugu actor Jr NTR is set to undergo shoulder surgery at KIMS Hospitals in Hyderabad on Wednesday, August 12, following an injury he sustained in July. His team said the procedure was recommended after a medical evaluation and that a team of doctors is overseeing his treatment and recovery.

The actor’s team confirmed the surgery in a statement, saying the procedure had been scheduled after doctors assessed the shoulder injury. It added that further updates on his progress would be shared after the surgery.

The development follows an earlier medical assessment after Jr NTR injured his shoulder on July 27. His team had said doctors led by Dr J. Madhusudan Rao and Dr R. A. Puramchandra Tejaswi advised him to take six to eight weeks of complete rest to support a full recovery.

At the time, Jr NTR’s team sought to reassure fans about his condition, saying there was no immediate cause for panic. The latest statement does not provide further details about the nature of the injury or the surgical procedure.
