The release date of Prabhas-starrer Spirit remains unchanged, with T-Series confirming that the Sandeep Reddy Vanga-directed film is scheduled to arrive in theatres on March 5, 2027. The clarification keeps the film on course for a potential Eid 2027 box-office clash with Salman Khan’s upcoming project, currently known as SVC63.

Speculation had circulated that Spirit might be postponed to avoid competing with Salman Khan’s film. T-Series has now rejected those reports. A spokesperson for the production house told Zoom that the film remains on schedule and will release worldwide on March 5, 2027.

The confirmation follows a similar clarification from T-Series in May, when reports of a possible postponement had also emerged. For now, there is no announced change to Spirit’s theatrical date.

Salman Khan and Prabhas Set for Eid 2027 Competition

Salman Khan had announced in April that his upcoming film with director Vamshi Paidipally would target Eid 2027. The project, referred to as SVC63, stars Nayanthara opposite Khan, with Abhimanyu Singh also part of the cast.

With Spirit retaining its March 5 date, both projects are currently positioned for the same festive release window. The final release plans will determine whether the two films ultimately compete directly at the box office.

SVC63 is being produced by Dil Raju under Sri Venkateswara Creations, while Spirit is backed by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series.

Prabhas and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s First Collaboration

Spirit marks the first film collaboration between Prabhas and Vanga, whose previous work includes Arjun Reddy and Kabir Singh. The action-drama stars Triptii Dimri alongside Prabhas, with Vivek Oberoi, Prakash Raj and Kanchana also part of the cast.

Triptii Dimri joined the project after Deepika Padukone exited following unsuccessful negotiations, according to the source material. The film’s first-look poster was unveiled in January 2026, featuring Prabhas with a wounded, bandaged back while Dimri’s character lit his cigarette.

For now, Spirit remains locked for March 5, 2027, leaving the Prabhas and Salman Khan projects on course for a major Eid-season theatrical contest.
