Dhurandhar: The Revenge OTT Version Restores Deleted Scenes and Graphic Violence

Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar: The Revenge, popularly referred to as Dhurandhar 2, has begun streaming internationally on Netflix with an extended “raw and uncut” version that includes scenes absent from the theatrical release. The Aditya Dhar-directed action drama is expected to stream in India on JioHotstar, where the platform has listed June 4 as the premiere date.
The overseas streaming version, released under alternate titles including Dhurandhar: The Revenge – Raw and Uncut and Raw & Undekha, has sparked discussion online for restoring graphic violence, uncensored language and extended sequences that were reportedly trimmed during theatrical certification.
Uncut OTT version includes extended violent sequences
Viewers who watched the Netflix edition outside India shared details of several restored scenes. One of the most discussed additions involves Uzair Baloch, played by Danish Pandor, playing football with a severed head — a moment only hinted at in the theatrical release.
The OTT version also restores multiple graphic sequences. In one scene, Ranveer Singh’s character Jaskirat brutally attacks a man with a hammer during the opening rampage sequence. Another restored moment in the Muridke climax shows a head-crushing scene with no visible cuts.
The Lyari Gang War portion reportedly contains additional violence, including an extended sequence in which Jaskirat attacks a man with a burning fireball. Another shot shows gangsters being beheaded using a shop shutter.
Unlike the theatrical version, the streaming cut also retains verbal abuses without muting or censorship, including uncensored subtitles.
Runtime slightly longer than theatrical release
The OTT edition has a runtime of approximately 3 hours and 52 minutes, three minutes longer than the theatrical version, which ran for 3 hours and 49 minutes.
Reports suggest the streaming cut restores deleted dialogues and alternate reaction shots, including a different emotional response from Ranveer Singh’s character following Pinda’s death.
The Indian streaming version is expected to retain the CBFC-approved theatrical cut because of local certification rules. Several reports noted that certain violent sequences included in the international version may not be permitted on Indian streaming platforms in their uncensored form.
India release confirmed on JioHotstar
While Netflix handles the film’s international streaming rights, JioHotstar has secured exclusive digital rights for India. The platform recently updated the film’s listing with June 4 as the streaming premiere date after weeks of speculation over its release schedule.
A promotional teaser shared by JioHotstar carried the caption “Exploding soon,” adding to anticipation among viewers waiting for the film’s domestic OTT debut.
The film will stream in Hindi along with Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam language versions.
One of India’s biggest OTT deals
Dhurandhar 2 has also drawn attention for its reported ₹150 crore digital rights deal with JioHotstar, placing it among the biggest OTT acquisitions in Indian cinema.
The film joins a list of major streaming deals that includes Kalki 2898 AD, RRR, KGF Chapter 2, Pushpa 2: The Rule, Salaar Part 1 and Adipurush.
The first Dhurandhar film had streamed on Netflix after its theatrical run, with reports stating that its digital rights were acquired for ₹85 crore.
Box office success and cast
Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar 2 stars Ranveer Singh as Indian spy Hamza operating in Karachi. The ensemble cast includes Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi.
The film released in theatres on March 19, 2026, and emerged as one of the year’s biggest box office successes. Reports cited in trade coverage place its worldwide gross between ₹1,796 crore and ₹1,800 crore during its theatrical run.
