Dhurandhar 2 Enters Final Stretch to Beat Baahubali 2 Global Record

Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge continues its record-breaking run, closing in on the long-standing global benchmark set by Baahubali 2: The Conclusion. The film remains a dominant force at the box office even in its sixth week.
Dhurandhar 2 Nears Historic Global Milestone
Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge, starring Ranveer Singh, has entered a crucial phase in its theatrical run. As of April 28, 2026 (Day 41), the film’s worldwide gross stands at approximately Rs 1,780 crore. It is now less than Rs 10 crore away from surpassing Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, which holds a nine-year-old global record of Rs 1,788.06 crore.
The film also remains in contention to challenge Pushpa 2: The Rule for the highest domestic net collection. It still requires over Rs 100 crore in India net to reach that mark.
Steady Performance Despite Competition
The film has maintained momentum despite competition from the IPL 2026 season and the release of Bhooth Bangla. On Day 41, it collected around Rs 1.35 crore in India, taking its domestic net total to Rs 1,132.99 crore.
The global total includes Rs 424.50 crore from overseas markets. Even with a drop in daily earnings in later weeks, the film continues to attract steady footfall across theatres.
Weekly Box Office Breakdown
The film opened with record-breaking numbers and sustained strong performance over several weeks:
Week 1: Rs 674.17 crore
Week 2: Rs 263.65 crore
Week 3: Rs 110.60 crore
Week 4: Rs 54.70 crore

Bhooth Bangla Holds Steady at Box Office
Akshay Kumar’s Bhooth Bangla delivered consistent performance alongside Dhurandhar 2. The film crossed Rs 121 crore net in India within 12 days and approached the Rs 200 crore worldwide mark.
A “Buy 1 Get 1” ticket offer helped boost weekday collections, with Day 12 earnings rising to Rs 4.35 crore. The film maintained strong occupancy in evening and night shows, indicating steady audience interest.
