Jailer 2 Box Office Collection: Rajinikanth Crosses ₹800 Crore
  • Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 crossed the ₹800 crore worldwide gross milestone during its third week in theatres.
  • Trade tracker Sacnilk reported worldwide collections of ₹807.25 crore after 18 days.
  • Another trade estimate placed the film’s 19-day worldwide gross at approximately ₹810.55 crore.
  • The film reportedly surpassed Pushpa 2: The Rule to become the highest-grossing Kannada-dubbed film.
  • Its domestic box-office performance remained strong, with reported India gross collections exceeding ₹500 crore.
  • The film’s third-week collections showed a decline compared with its opening-week performance.

Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 has crossed the ₹800 crore mark at the worldwide box office, adding another major milestone to its theatrical run. Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, the action entertainer has also reportedly overtaken Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule to become the highest-grossing Kannada-dubbed film.

According to trade tracker Sacnilk, Jailer 2 collected approximately ₹807.25 crore worldwide in 18 days. The figure includes ₹533.75 crore in domestic gross collections and ₹273.50 crore from overseas markets.

A separate trade estimate placed the film’s worldwide gross at approximately ₹810.55 crore after 19 days. Although the figures vary across trade sources, both estimates put the Rajinikanth-starrer comfortably above the ₹800 crore milestone.

The achievement also makes Jailer 2 one of the highest-grossing Indian films of 2026. Sacnilk’s reported figures placed it second among Indian films for the year, behind Dhurandhar: The Revenge.

Jailer 2 maintains its box-office momentum in the third week

Despite entering its third week, Jailer 2 continued to attract audiences across its major theatrical markets. However, its daily collections have started declining from the levels recorded during the opening weeks.

On its 18th day, November 1, the film earned ₹11.20 crore in India net collections across 8,906 shows, according to Sacnilk. This represented an improvement over the previous day’s reported net collection of ₹9.70 crore.

The Tamil version contributed ₹8 crore on Day 18, while the Hindi and Telugu versions collected ₹1.75 crore and ₹1 crore, respectively. The Kannada version added another ₹45 lakh.

By Day 19, the film’s reported India net collection had reached ₹459.70 crore, while its domestic gross stood at ₹537.75 crore, according to another Sacnilk update.

A separate territorial estimate reported the film’s India gross at ₹511.75 crore, including ₹199.50 crore from Tamil Nadu, ₹91 crore from Karnataka, ₹89.25 crore from the Telugu states, ₹77.50 crore from Kerala and ₹54.50 crore from the rest of India.

These variations underline the differences between trade estimates published by different tracking sources.

Jailer 2 reportedly breaks Pushpa 2’s Kannada-dubbed record

Another significant achievement for the Rajinikanth-starrer is its reported performance in the Kannada-dubbed market.

According to the supplied trade report, Jailer 2 has surpassed Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule to become the highest-grossing Kannada-dubbed film.

The milestone highlights the film’s performance beyond its original Tamil-language market. Its collections across Karnataka and other dubbed-language territories have contributed substantially to its overall theatrical earnings.

The film has also reportedly become the first Kollywood production to cross ₹800 crore in worldwide gross collections.

Tamil Nadu remains the biggest domestic market

Tamil Nadu continues to be the film’s largest domestic territory. One trade estimate placed its collections in the state at ₹210.80 crore after 19 days, while another reported ₹199.50 crore.

The Telugu states have also contributed significantly to its performance. A regional trade breakdown estimated their combined gross collections at approximately ₹97.90 crore, with an estimated share of ₹59.48 crore.

Karnataka and Kerala have also remained important markets, with the film collecting approximately ₹91.80 crore and ₹78.10 crore, respectively, according to the same estimate.

Overseas markets contributed approximately ₹273.05 crore in the 19-day trade estimate, demonstrating the film’s reach beyond India.

Rajinikanth returns as Muthuvel Pandian

Backed by Sun Pictures and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, Jailer 2 is the sequel to Rajinikanth’s 2023 film Jailer.

The story follows Muthuvel Pandian, who initially lives a quiet family life while secretly infiltrating an idol-trading network led by the Kalpak family. His identity is eventually exposed, putting his loved ones in danger.

The film features an ensemble cast that includes S. J. Suryah, Ramya Krishnan, Vidya Balan, Mithun Chakraborty, Suraj Venjaramoodu and Yogi Babu. Mohanlal, Shivarajkumar, Jackie Shroff and Hrithik Roshan also feature in special appearances.

Anirudh Ravichander composed the music, while Vijay Kartik Kannan handled cinematography and R. Nirmal was responsible for editing.
