Niharika NM, one of India’s best-known digital creators, is making her Bollywood debut opposite Raghav Juyal in Bhai Tera Star Hai, marking a major milestone in her transition from social media to mainstream cinema. The film arrives after years of content creation, acting training and appearances in regional films that helped shape her acting career.

Ahead of the film’s release, Niharika and Juyal have generated online buzz through the promotional song Aankhon Se Tune 2.0, with audiences highlighting their on-screen chemistry. Interest in the pair intensified after they shared affectionate photographs on Instagram featuring only a heart and star emoji in the caption.

The posts quickly fuelled dating rumours across social media, with fans debating whether the images reflected a real-life relationship or formed part of the film’s promotional campaign. Neither Juyal nor Niharika has publicly confirmed that they are dating, and no official statement has addressed the speculation.

From digital creator to actor

Born in Chennai and raised in Bengaluru, Niharika holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science and engineering before later pursuing an MBA and an MFA at Chapman University in California.

She began creating content in 2016 and established herself as a prominent social media personality by 2018 through comedic, relatable videos. Today, she has more than 3 million followers on Instagram.

Determined to pursue acting, Niharika stepped away from full-time content creation and underwent formal training, including theatre experience and nearly three years of workshops under casting director Shanoo Sharma.

Before entering feature films, she voiced a character in the American animated series Big Mouth in 2023. She later made her acting debut in the Tamil comedy Perusu before appearing in Mithra Mandali and Idhayam Murali.

Her digital career also brought collaborations with international and Indian celebrities, including Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Ranbir Kapoor, Aamir Khan, Tom Cruise, John Legend and Michael B. Jordan. She was also among the Indian personalities who attended the UK premiere of Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning and met Tom Cruise.

In 2022, Niharika received the World Influencers and Bloggers Award at the Cannes Film Festival.

Juyal, who began his career as a dancer before establishing himself as an actor, received praise for his performance in Kill. He was recently seen in The Ba***ds of Bollywood and is also set to appear alongside Nani in The Paradise.
