Aamir Khan and Gauri Spratt Tie the Knot at Private Bandra Wedding

Aamir Khan and Gauri Spratt have married in an intimate registered ceremony at the actor’s Bandra home in Mumbai on July 5, surrounded by family, close friends and a select group of industry colleagues. The private celebration featured heartfelt vows, a first dance and a warm reception for guests.
The wedding marked a new chapter for the 61-year-old actor and entrepreneur Gauri Spratt, who have been together for more than two years after reconnecting through Aamir’s family decades after first meeting in Bengaluru. The marriage was solemnised under the Special Marriage Act during a small gathering that reflected the couple’s preference for a low-key celebration.
Before the ceremony, Aamir had described the occasion as “a very special day” and said the wedding would be “very small” and “gharelu,” asking fans and the media to bless the couple while respecting their privacy.
The ceremony took place at Aamir’s Bandra residence with roughly 100 to 150 guests in attendance. Family members, including Aamir’s children Junaid Khan, Ira Khan and Azad Rao Khan, were present alongside Gauri’s son. Guests from the film industry included filmmakers Ashutosh Gowariker and Rajkumar Hirani, actors Vir Das, Elli AvrRam, Rhea Chakraborty and Danish Husain, while former India cricketer Irfan Pathan, businessman Mukesh Ambani and politician Raj Thackeray also attended despite heavy rain in Mumbai.
The couple completed the legal registration before exchanging vows in an emotional ceremony. Videos shared by wedding guests soon spread across social media, showing Gauri reciting her vows before Aamir kissed her hand. Another widely shared clip captured the newlyweds’ first dance as family and friends applauded, with Pathan congratulating the couple and wishing them a lifetime of happiness.
The first official wedding photograph released after the ceremony showed Aamir and Gauri signing their marriage documents surrounded by loved ones. Later, Aamir stepped outside his home barefoot in a traditional ivory dhoti-kurta to greet photographers with folded hands and thank guests as they departed.
The actor’s understated wedding attire also became a talking point online. Alongside his traditional ensemble and bronze-toned brooch, fans noticed a distinctive silver anklet on his right foot, prompting discussion across social media. Gauri chose an elegant pastel-beige traditional outfit with minimal jewellery and a braided hairstyle.
The wedding concludes a relationship that became public when Aamir introduced Gauri during his 60th birthday celebrations in March 2025. He has since spoken about finding love unexpectedly at 60 and credited Gauri with bringing “stability and happiness” into his life.
Gauri, a Bengaluru-born entrepreneur, has built her career in the beauty and grooming industry. Educated at Blue Mountain School before studying fashion styling and photography in London, she has managed BBlunt salons and has also been associated with creative work linked to Aamir Khan Productions.
For Aamir, the marriage follows his previous relationships with Reena Dutta, with whom he shares children Junaid and Ira, and filmmaker Kiran Rao, with whom he co-parents son Azad. He has previously said both former spouses remain important influences in his life.
As images and videos from the intimate celebration continue to circulate online, the couple’s decision to keep the ceremony focused on family, close friends and personal moments has drawn praise from fans, with the heartfelt vows and joyful first dance emerging as the defining memories of the day.
