SRK, Deepika Padukone’s ‘King’ Shoot Grabs Attention Online

Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone have sparked widespread online attention after visuals from the sets of their upcoming film King surfaced online. The clips show the actors filming a romantic song sequence on a beach in South Africa, with several videos and images circulating across social media platforms.

The leaked visuals depict Khan and Padukone dressed in breezy, neutral-toned outfits, walking toward each other before performing a choreographed dance against a sunset backdrop. In some clips, the actors are seen repeating steps multiple times, pausing mid-performance, and resetting positions between takes.

Despite reports that part of the beach was closed for filming, the shoot attracted onlookers who gathered at a distance to watch the sequence being filmed.

Additional visuals show variations in costumes across takes, including Padukone in a white dress and Khan in a striped shirt and black trousers, suggesting multiple shots or sequences were filmed at the location.

According to reports, the actors travelled to South Africa to begin a filming schedule for *King*, starting with this song sequence. A short clip circulating online has led to speculation that the track could feature music by Ed Sheeran, although no official confirmation has been provided.

Director Siddharth Anand addressed the circulation of leaked material by posting a request on social media platform X. In his statement, he urged fans not to share unauthorized content from the film’s sets.

King marks another collaboration between Khan and Padukone and is described as an action-driven story featuring Khan as a veteran assassin and Suhana Khan as his protégé. The film also includes a large ensemble cast featuring Abhishek Bachchan, Rani Mukerji, Anil Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, Jaideep Ahlawat, Jackie Shroff, Raghav Juyal, and Abhay Verma.

The project is backed by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures.

The film is scheduled for release in December 2026, with reports indicating a December 24 launch. Its release timing places it alongside major international titles, including Avengers: Doomsday, Dune: Part Three, and Jumanji 3, setting up a competitive box office window.

Separate reports also highlighted Padukone’s outfit from the shoot, identifying a bohemian-style dress from the Mes Demoiselles collection. The appearance gained attention alongside her participation in the film following her pregnancy announcement on April 19, 2026.

Padukone has also publicly reflected on her long-standing collaboration with Khan, noting that their professional relationship dates back to their debut film together and continues with *King*, marking their sixth project.

The viral visuals from King have amplified anticipation for the film, even as the makers emphasize preserving the theatrical experience by limiting leaks. With a high-profile cast and a major release window, the project remains one of the most closely watched Hindi films slated for 2026.
