Ranveer Singh’s upcoming film Pralay is moving ahead as planned, with production scheduled to begin in August 2026. Makers have denied rumours of creative differences and confirmed that the project is in pre-production.

Rumours of Exit and Delays Dismissed

Speculation about Ranveer Singh leaving Pralay due to creative differences has been rejected by the film’s team. Reports quoting insiders state that such claims are “completely baseless.”

An insider said, “Ranveer and Jai have been in continuous discussions and have firmly locked the script.” The statement also confirmed that there are no roadblocks affecting the project.

Production Timeline Confirmed

The film has already entered pre-production, with the team preparing for a large-scale shoot. According to reports, Pralay is scheduled to go on floors in August 2026.

The makers aim to create a “gigantic spectacle,” combining physical sets with advanced visual effects. The film is expected to be one of the most ambitious Hindi cinema projects in terms of scale.

A High-Budget Zombie Thriller

Directed by Jai Mehta, Pralay is described as a VFX-heavy action thriller set in a dystopian, post-apocalyptic world. The film will explore the zombie genre, which is still rare in mainstream Hindi cinema.

The project is reportedly being made on a budget of around ₹300 crore. It is backed by True Story Films and Maa Kasam Films, in collaboration with Applause Entertainment.

Cast and Creative Team

Ranveer Singh is expected to take on a completely new look for the film. Actress Kalyani Priyadarshan is also reported to star alongside him, marking her Hindi film debut.

The screenplay has been written by Jai Mehta and Vishal Kapoor. The story is confirmed to be original and not an adaptation of any existing novel.

Other Projects in Discussion

Ranveer Singh is also said to be in talks with director Aditya Dhar for a historical film based on the era of Chandragupta Maurya. This project is expected to begin after *Pralay* is completed.

Meanwhile, Singh has been working on other commitments, while maintaining focus on this large-scale venture.
