Addressing rumours that the film is a remake of the Telugu movie Sankranthiki Vasthunam, Bazmee dismissed the speculation.

“Such rumours keep floating in the market. The story of our film is close to the premise, and Dil Raju bhai is the producer of both films, but hamari film acchi hai. Mehnat poori ki hai humne,”
