Code Name Tiranga released in the theatres on 14th October 2022. The movie is based on the journey of the RAW agent in different countries. The movie features Parineeti Chopra and Hardy Sandhu.
Parineeti Chopra is playing the lead role of Durga Devi Singh who is on a mission to save her nation and she has to make many sacrifices to achieve it. Hardy is playing the role of Dr Mirza Ali.
Ribhu Dasgupta directed the movie. The producers of the film are Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Vivek B. Agrawal and Reliance Entertainment.
Even before the release of the movie, many people predicted it would be difficult for the movie to have a good box office collection as it is competing against movies like Doctor G.
It seems predictions were right because the movie only collected Rs 15 lakhs on Day 1 even though they use Rs 100 ticket marketing scheme. Even the affordable price ticket didn’t help the film.
On the other hand, Doctor G starring Ayushmann Khurana, Rakul Preet Singh and Shefali Shah collected Rs 3.25 crores on opening day. The movie has received many positive reviews from the audience.
Parineeti Chopra was last seen in Saina Nehwal Biopic which was declared as a flop because it only collected Rs 1.2 crores at the box office. The reason for this disaster was the Coronavirus pandemic.
While Parineeti had a lot of hope with her recent release it seems like it will not be a success at the box office. Let’s see how the movie performs in the coming weeks.
