Dhurandhar: The Revenge, starring Ranveer Singh, is maintaining a historic run at the box office, emerging as one of the biggest Indian blockbusters in recent times. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film has shown remarkable consistency through its first week, with strong weekday collections following a record-breaking opening.

After six days in theatres, the film’s domestic net collection stands at approximately ₹575.67 crore, with an India gross of around ₹687.43 crore. Overseas, it has added ₹231.57 crore, taking the total worldwide gross to about ₹919 crore.

Day-Wise Collection and Weekly Trends

The film opened with strong paid previews of ₹43 crore, followed by a massive ₹102.55 crore on Day 1 (March 19). It continued its upward momentum over the weekend:

Day 2: ₹80.72 crore
Day 3: ₹113 crore
Day 4: ₹114.85 crore
Day 5 (Monday): ₹65 crore
Day 6 (Tuesday): ₹56.55 crore

Despite the expected weekday drop, the numbers remain robust. By Day 7, early estimates indicate earnings of ₹9.51 crore, pushing the total domestic net to approximately ₹585 crore, with figures expected to rise further.

The Hindi version continues to dominate collections, contributing the majority share, while regional versions—particularly Telugu—add steady support.

Strong Overseas Performance Despite Challenges

Internationally, the film has performed exceptionally well, even with restrictions such as a ban in Gulf countries. With around 3,000 screens overseas, it has recorded impressive numbers across key markets including North America and the UK-Ireland circuit.

The overseas gross has crossed ₹231 crore within six days, contributing significantly to the film’s global total. Reports also indicate strong weekday occupancy abroad, mirroring its domestic trend.

Crossing Milestones and Breaking Records

With a worldwide gross nearing ₹919 crore, Dhurandhar: The Revenge has already crossed the lifetime collections of several major films and is rapidly approaching the ₹1000 crore milestone.

The film has also achieved a significant franchise milestone. Combined with its predecessor, Dhurandhar, the series has crossed ₹2000 crore globally, making it one of the few Indian film franchises to reach this mark alongside major titles like Baahubali 2: The Conclusion and Pushpa 2: The Rule.

Notably, both films in the franchise have individually entered the ₹500 crore net club in a single language, a rare achievement in Indian cinema.

Massive Scale, Long Runtime, and Audience Response

Clocking a runtime of 3 hours and 49 minutes (229 minutes), the film is among the longest Indian feature films. Despite this, it has maintained high occupancy levels, aided by strong word-of-mouth and the addition of midnight shows in several centres.

The film’s theatrical appeal—marked by crowd reactions such as clapping, cheering, and whistling—has contributed significantly to its sustained performance.

Cast, Storyline, and Production

The film features an ensemble cast including R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Rakesh Bedi, and Sara Arjun.

Serving as the second installment in the franchise, the film follows the journey of Jaskirat Singh Rangi, who transforms into a deep-cover operative infiltrating Karachi’s Lyari underworld. The narrative blends personal tragedy with large-scale espionage and geopolitical undertones.

Shot across locations such as Thailand, Ladakh, and Punjab, the project was filmed over 15 months, reflecting its масштаб production scale.
