Actor Nayanthara has officially been cast as the leading lady opposite Salman Khan in an upcoming action drama directed by Vamshi Paidipally. The project, backed by producer Dil Raju under Sri Venkateswara Creations, was announced on March 31, 2026.

The production house welcomed the actor on social media, describing her as “the epitome of versatility and excellence,” while the director shared that he has “always admired her for the grace, strength and the dignity that she always carries.”

A First-Time On-Screen Collaboration

The film, tentatively titled SVC63, marks the first-ever collaboration between Salman Khan and Nayanthara. The pairing has already generated strong interest across both Bollywood and South Indian film industries, given the actors’ massive fan bases and contrasting screen personas.

Production is scheduled to begin in April 2026, with the makers reportedly aiming for a large-scale release. This also marks Salman Khan’s first collaboration with both Vamshi Paidipally and Dil Raju.

A Strategic Pan-India Project

The film brings together a notable creative team. Vamshi Paidipally is known for directing commercially successful films like Maharshi and Varisu, while Dil Raju has produced over 60 films and won National Awards for projects including Maharshi and Shatamanam Bhavati.

The collaboration is particularly significant as it represents a major Hindi-language venture for Sri Venkateswara Creations, a production house primarily associated with Telugu cinema.

Industry discussions have also highlighted the unique working styles of the lead actors, suggesting that aligning schedules and production logistics could be a key challenge during filming.

Nayanthara’s Growing Presence in Hindi Cinema

Nayanthara, often referred to as “Lady Superstar,” has built a career spanning more than two decades across multiple film industries including Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada cinema.

She made her Hindi debut with Jawan alongside Shah Rukh Khan, significantly expanding her pan-India appeal. With this new project, she becomes one of the few actresses to have shared screen space with both Khan superstars.

Her recent and upcoming projects include regional films as well as Toxic: A Fairy Tale For Grown-Ups, further reinforcing her cross-industry presence.

What’s Next for Salman Khan

Meanwhile, Salman Khan is preparing for the release of his upcoming film Maatrubhumi (earlier titled Battle of Galwan), directed by Apoorva Lakhia and based on the Galwan Valley conflict. The film also stars Chitrangada Singh.

He recently announced the new project with Vamshi Paidipally on social media, writing: “Dil, Dimag, Jigar se from this April,” confirming the production timeline.
