After more than two decades away from the screen, 90s Bollywood star Mamta Kulkarni has made a widely talked-about return with her television debut on Laughter Chefs Unlimited Entertainment Season 3. Her appearance transformed the episode into a nostalgic celebration of her cinematic legacy, blending comedy, cooking, and memories from the golden era of Hindi cinema.

A Nostalgic Tribute to 90s Bollywood

The episode opened with a grand tribute to Mamta’s film career. Contestants dressed up as characters inspired by her popular films, recreating iconic looks and moments that defined her stardom in the 1990s.

Host Bharti Singh took on the role reminiscent of the emotional mother from Karan Arjun, while Karan Kundrra and Arjun Bijlani added to the drama with filmy dialogues and mimicry. The set turned into a lively homage filled with music, dance, and high-energy performances.

Comedy Highlights Steal the Show

The episode quickly shifted into full comedy mode, with Krushna Abhishek delivering one of the most talked-about acts. His performance on “Maang Meri Bharo,” which involved dancing inside a tub with sindoor, left the audience and Mamta Kulkarni in splits.

Calling the moment special, Krushna said, “Having Mamta ji on our set honestly felt unreal, like Bollywood’s golden era just walked straight into our kitchen!”

Kitchen Chaos: Aly Goni’s Cooking Mishap

The show’s signature mix of cooking and comedy reached a peak when Mamta Kulkarni joined Aly Goni during a cooking task. In a playful moment, she accidentally added sugar to his spicy Punjabi kadhi, turning the dish into a disaster.

Aly’s exaggerated reaction—dropping to the floor in mock defeat—became one of the episode’s funniest highlights, capturing the unpredictable spirit of the show.

Behind-the-Scenes Stories From Karan Arjun

Amid the laughter, Mamta Kulkarni shared anecdotes from her film career, including a memorable story from Karan Arjun. She revealed how co-stars Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan managed to avoid a dance sequence, leaving her to perform it solo.

She recalled, “There was a song where the choreography was planned for Salman, Shah Rukh and me. But somehow, both of them managed to shift the entire focus on me.”

Mamta added, “I ended up performing the whole song, and that too in one shot, one take.”

Mamta Kulkarni on Her TV Debut

Speaking about her first-ever television appearance, Mamta expressed her joy at returning to the screen after 24–25 years.

She said, “Chaubis saal ke baad pehla TV… In fact, TV show pe main kabhi aayi hi nahi… Ek accha, hasne ka mauka milta hai. Log bohot gambhir hogaye hain, jeevan bohot gambhir hogaya… sab jagah seriousness hai.”

Her comments reflected the essence of the show—bringing laughter at a time when, as she noted, life has become increasingly serious.

A Memorable Comeback Moment

The episode concluded with music, dance, and heartfelt conversations celebrating the legacy of 90s Bollywood. Mamta Kulkarni’s presence not only brought nostalgia but also added a unique charm to the show’s format.

While this marks her first on-screen appearance in decades, the comeback stands out as a special moment for fans who remember her as one of the most distinctive stars of her era.
