‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ Trailer to Release March 7 at 11:01 AM Ahead of Global Release

The makers of Dhurandhar: The Revenge have officially confirmed the release date and time for the film’s much-anticipated trailer. Actor Ranveer Singh announced that the trailer will be unveiled online on March 7 at 11:01 AM, intensifying excitement around one of the year’s most awaited Indian releases.

The sequel to the blockbuster Dhurandhar is scheduled to hit cinemas worldwide on March 19, 2026, arriving in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.

Trailer Announcement Ends Weeks of Speculation

In recent weeks, speculation had circulated about the trailer’s launch date. Some reports suggested it would drop on March 3, a day before Holi. However, trade analyst Taran Adarsh clarified that the makers had not made any official announcement at the time.

Ranveer Singh eventually confirmed the release date via social media, writing:

“Brace yourself. Trailer out tomorrow 7th March at 11:01 AM.”

Along with the announcement, the production team also revealed a new set of posters teasing the upcoming installment.

Sequel Expands the Espionage Saga

Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film continues the high-stakes espionage narrative introduced in the first installment.

The story follows an undercover Indian intelligence operative embedded within criminal networks in Karachi. In the sequel, Ranveer Singh returns in dual avatars as Jaskirat Singh Rangi and Hamza Ali Mazari, with the narrative exploring the rise of Mazari in Lyari’s underworld while the spy operation intensifies.

The ensemble cast includes:

  • Sanjay Dutt
  • R. Madhavan
  • Arjun Rampal
  • Rakesh Bedi
  • Sara Arjun

Rumours have also suggested a possible flashback appearance by Akshaye Khanna, though the makers have not formally confirmed this detail.

Massive Expectations After Record-Breaking First Film

The original “Dhurandhar”, released in December 2025, became a major box-office phenomenon. The film reportedly collected ₹838.5 crore in domestic net revenue, while its worldwide gross crossed ₹1,305 crore, making it one of the highest-grossing Hindi films globally.

Its gritty portrayal of Karachi’s Lyari neighbourhood, combined with powerful performances and a popular score by Shashwat Sachdev, helped the film achieve widespread cultural impact.

‘Toxic’ Postponement Clears the Box Office Path

The sequel’s release landscape changed significantly after Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown‑Ups, starring Yash, postponed its March 19 debut.

The film has now been rescheduled to June 4, 2026, with the makers citing logistical challenges linked to geopolitical tensions in the Middle East — a key international market for the project. With the clash avoided, “Dhurandhar: The Revenge” now has a largely solo theatrical run, a development trade analysts believe could significantly boost its opening numbers.

Strong Early Advance Bookings Overseas

Early indicators suggest strong demand overseas. According to industry tracking data, the film has already generated over $100,000 (around ₹83 lakh) in advance bookings in the United States alone for its March 18 premiere shows and opening day screenings.

Premiere shows across North America have reportedly contributed about $70,000 of that total.

Festival Release Window

The film’s theatrical release on March 19 coincides with multiple festive occasions, including Holi, Gudi Padwa, Ugadi, and the run-up to Eid, positioning it for a potentially strong opening weekend at the global box office.
