“Fauji hai… beizzati nahi”: Powerful Dialogues Anchor Intense Trailer

The trailer of Subedaar was unveiled on February 23, 2026, offering a gripping glimpse into a hinterland action drama led by Anil Kapoor. Directed by Suresh Triveni, the film is set to premiere exclusively on Prime Video on March 5, 2026.
Positioned as a masala action-drama rooted in India’s heartland, *Subedaar* blends high-stakes confrontation with an emotional father-daughter narrative.
A Battle Against Fear and Illegal Sand Mining
Set against the backdrop of illegal sand mining, the trailer introduces a region dominated by fear and silence. At the center of the story is Subedaar Arjun Maurya (Anil Kapoor), a retired army officer attempting to adjust to civilian life.
The conflict emerges with the introduction of Babli Didi, played by Mona Singh, a powerful figure who controls multiple riverbanks and maintains authority through intimidation. Her brother Prince, portrayed by Aditya Rawal, is depicted as volatile and ruthless, celebrating violence and ruling through terror.
When Arjun crosses paths with Prince, tensions escalate quickly. Initially appointed as Prince’s driver and bodyguard, Arjun faces public humiliation and assault. The turning point comes when he asserts his dignity with the line:
“Fauji hai, seene mein goli jhel sakte hai, beizzati nahi.”(We are soldiers; we can take a bullet in the chest, but not disrespect.)
The confrontation sets the stage for a larger battle against corruption and hooliganism.
Emotional Core: A Father-Daughter Story
Beyond its action-heavy narrative, Subedaar places significant emphasis on Arjun’s strained relationship with his daughter Shyama, played by Radhikka Madan. The trailer hints at personal trauma and unresolved conflict, deepening the emotional stakes.
Director Suresh Triveni described the film as a tribute to the mainstream cinema he grew up watching and called it “a father-daughter story” at its heart. He noted that while the film explores a retired army man adapting to civilian life, it remains deeply personal in tone.
Supporting Cast and Production Details
The ensemble cast includes Saurabh Shukla, Faisal Malik, and Khushboo Sundar in pivotal roles.
The screenplay is written by Suresh Triveni and Prajwal Chandrashekhar. The film is produced by Vikram Malhotra, Anil Kapoor, and Suresh Triveni under the banners of Opening Image Films Production and Anil Kapoor Film & Communication Network.
The official synopsis describes the film as the story of a retired soldier grappling with societal dysfunction, fractured family ties, and the erosion of values he once upheld, as he fights to protect his home and restore dignity.
Anil Kapoor on His “Most Challenging” Role
Speaking at the trailer launch in Mumbai, Anil Kapoor called Subedaar one of the most demanding roles of his career.

At the event, he also reflected on his disciplined work ethic, revealing an intense 16-hour work schedule while maintaining a lighthearted tone about how his family treats him like anyone else at home.
