The Raja Saab Opens to Modest Yet Strong Box Office Start

Prabhas’ much-anticipated horror comedy The Raja Saab, directed by Maruthi, opened at the box office with a solid but comparatively modest start. According to Sacnilk.com, the film earned approximately ₹54.15 crore worldwide on its opening day, including ₹45 crore nett in India and ₹9.15 crore from premiere shows.

Despite being Prabhas’ weakest post-pandemic opening, the performance was largely expected. Advance bookings opened late, and unlike his recent mass action entertainers, The Raja Saab belongs to the horror-comedy genre. Still, the film found strong support from the actor’s loyal fan base, particularly in Telugu markets.

The film outperformed Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar in morning shows, overtaking its Thursday collection of ₹4.25 crore by early morning. While The Raja Saab trails behind Prabhas’ earlier blockbusters such as Salaar (₹90 crore), Kalki 2898 AD (₹95 crore), and Adipurush (₹86 crore), it is expected to surpass the opening-day figures of recent hits like Jawan, Animal, Leo, and Dhurandhar.

How the film sustains its momentum in the coming days will determine its overall box office success.
